Elton Brand ruptured his left Achilles' tendon today during a daily workout. Brand will undergo surgery but plans for the operation have not been finalized yet,

Ouch. Both for Elton Brand and for the L.A. Clippers. A reptured Achilles Tendon is one of the more painful injuries of it's type and while I have not seen any guesses on the time table he is out, I just read about a player who had a similar injury who was out for 6 months before he even started to work out again. For fantasy basketball target Corey Magette, Tim Thomas and possibly rookie Al Thornton. For LA Clipper fans...well you had a nice year in 2005-2006 you can look back on.
